Curing Boredom — Post 2

If you didn’t find something new to try on my last post, or if you did and now you’re looking for even more ideas, then I hope today’s post is for you!

We all need to eat right? Sometimes it’s a chore and sometimes we fall into loving how to cook. We can easily look up recipes on the internet, but this guide can help with cooking tips to make those recipes extra special:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/478239/Sunflower37/

And here are 16 e-recipe books for you to check out as well: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/435328/Sunflower37/

Now, we’ve covered lots of hobbies, but there’s a topic that some look over but many are interested in. Languages. In high school I was interested in learning German and French, but my school taught Spanish and German, so I only was able to learn those. Spanish ended up helping me out when I worked for Disney, and sadly I lost a lot of my German words with memory because I didn’t practice it often. There are so many languages to learn out there and I have a ton of resources for you!

Spanish is one of the first ones people want to learn, so here are two lessons for you: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/384743/Sunflower37/

That leads me to my next hobby/career/side hustle. Writing. I love writing. I have four books that are self-published and a few works in progress. If you’re looking to get into writing and whether you just need an outlet or you want to make a little money, here are some resources for you.

This one has some extra help on how to write and promote your book: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/458334/Sunflower37/

And here’s a guide to the Kindle System. Which I would have used when I first started writing back in 2015 had I known about this little helping book: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/434638/Sunflower37/

Now, if you CAN get outside or have the resources to start a garden inside, I recommend this guide to home gardening:

Summer Boredom? Let’s Find a Hobby

It’s summer and if you’re area has been anything like mine, it’s either been way too hot or it’s been storming and I haven’t been able to spend as much time outside as I’d like too. That’s led me to wonder, what would people like to do to cure their inside boredom? My usual go-to’s are scrolling social media, writing, or picking up a book when I’m not entertaining my toddler. But sometimes those aren’t options for people because it doesn’t interest them. So I did some research and found a few ideas for those who are looking to take their spare time and learn something new!

Music is a huge love of mine. I love all kinds of music from 50’s classics to classical to punk rock to rap; but I’ve never had the attention span to learn an instrument. My uncle owns a music shop and my niece’s can play instruments. Even Shamrock is trying to play the guitar and flute at the age of 2, but me? I love to sing and listen. If you have the opportunity to learn an instrument, would you take it?

My grandmother had this beautiful organ in her home as I grew up and it was the one instrument that I thought I’d have the attention span for but I only wanted to be taught by her. She didn’t get the chance to, but I still love the sounds of an organ or piano and remember her playing during Christmas parties or family gatherings.

Some people enjoy learning at their own pace and that’s where these lessons come in. You can teach yourself through your own spare time: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/282743/Sunflower37/

If you’re looking to master your new found piano skills, look into this Mastery Lesson Set: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/427188/Sunflower37/

If you’re not into the piano, how about the guitar? My son has a big interest in the guitar so we bought him a ukulele to start with until he’s old enough for actual lessons. He loves to sing and strum it around the room and he’s a big fan of Laurie Berkner and Jules from Songs for Littles.

If you’re interested in learning the guitar here are some online resources for you.

For beginners: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/420765/Sunflower37/

To perfect your newfound craft: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/487519/Sunflower37/

When I was younger, I was fascinated with the strings section, Violins especially. My niece can play, I cannot 😅. It just wasn’t my destiny, BUT it could be yours with some online lessons:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/505600/Sunflower37/

My husband works with metal, but he also loves working with wood and has been looking for new projects to make and sell. Along with working with wood he uses epoxy and resin for some of these projects (and we also love watching what people can do with those materials on TikTok and YouTube.)

If that’s something you’re interested in seeing what you can create, here’s and Epoxy and Resin guide for you: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/352181/Sunflower37/

If you’ve worked with saws before or around them, you may be wondering what else you can create using a scroll saw. I have some patterns for you to check out if that’s the case. According to their website, these patterns can be used by beginners or experienced scroll saw users, so click through and check them out! (and if it’s not your thing but you’re still looking to get one of them made, you can always try to talk your Significant Other, Sibling, Friend, or parent into trying it out for you 😅)

101 Scroll Saw Patterns: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/432604/Sunflower37/

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/433852/Sunflower37/

Another love of mine has always been art, which kind of goes hand in hand with music, as I believe it’s an art form. My medium was normally paint and charcoal and I even still have a few pieces from my high school days that I love. If you’re into painting or want to learn, perfect, or even just have fun with something, check out this link here:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/490887/Sunflower37/

Here’s a starter kit that includes 24 acrylic paints, 12 brushes, multiple sized canvases, a pallet for the paint, painting knives, a water cup, an easel, and even a nice little storage bag to put everything in:

https://amzn.to/44yp06y

Painting artwork is a great hobby, but you can also creat magic in photography, another thing that I love to play around with ❤️. One of my favorite things to do with photos is create stories from a simple picture. If you want to learn how to take photos, whether to start a new hobby, a side hustle or even a career, check out these photography classes:

If you really want to further your photo skills and become a professional, making it into a career, here’s a guide with some tips to make that happen for you:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/419234/Sunflower37/

If you’re just looking just to clean up or edit the photos you’ve taken on your iPhone, or it could work even on non-iPhone devices if you have similar features, then this guide is for you:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/465561/Sunflower37/

Another form of art, in my eyes, is cross stitching. I used to do it but I ended up turning to other hobbies. Maybe this one is for you:

I’d also recommend this starter kit from Amazon. It’s rated really well, comes with 2 hoops, 8 needles, multiple patterns, and the thread to do said patterns.

After you make some of these projects, you may say “Now what do I do with them?” Well, you could give them as gifts, keep them for yourself, or get yourself into a side hustle and sell them. Here are some tips on getting that Crafty Cash:

If you didn’t find something that peaks your interest, I’ll be back with more ideas and resources tomorrow! Until then!

Love your Littles, Love yourself.

So, you may have noticed I’m a mama, I’ve mentioned Shamrock and Pumpkin in previous posts and they are my Littles. Shamrock is currently 2, and Pumpkin is due in November even though I believe he’ll be early like his brother. With that being said, I know there are a ton of other Mums (And dads) out there that have or had babies and want to get healthy and/or are looking for things to help them navigate through Parenthood. One of the things that I’ve seen is this Baby Sleep Miracle thing going around and though my Little sleeps well, I know many mamas struggle. So if you’re interested, check this out:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/371524/Sunflower37/

I’m currently working on this myself so I know there have to be other parents out there searching for what works to help train their little one to potty and finally make those diapers disappear. Once Shamrock is potty trained, I know I’ll breathe a little easier and it will also help me when it comes time for Pumpkin to as well. This Potty Training guide is definitely something to look into if you need a guide:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/322281/Sunflower37/

On the other side, there are also mamas looking to make a little extra money, like myself, without having to leave home. For those women, check out this Best Business for Moms:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/460028/Sunflower37/

For those mamas just needing to have something to get their minds off of things and relax, there are two things I’ve found to help: Art and Music. There’s one link below to check out some Art painting and another that will lead you to a DIY Music activity. I hope you enjoy one or both. 😄

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/490887/Sunflower37/

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/490287/Sunflower37/

If you’re more into the coloring aspect and want something you can do with your older kiddos, here are a few coloring books you may want to look into:

Flowers: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/464424/Sunflower37/

Sea Animals: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/427040/Sunflower37/

This one has a variety of different things from dinosaurs to astronauts: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/463227/Sunflower37/

Now on to the healthy part. A lot of us dread that one and some of us really look forward to it. For me it’s always been a balance of a lot of things between eating and working out, even while I’m pregnant. I absolutely love fruit, but I’m not a big meat eater. But I do have some resources for you to check out and find your own balance to starting a healthy lifestyle.

First we have Food For a Healthy Lifestyle: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/487902/Sunflower37/

And to go along with that, is an ebook about finding Healthy Habits: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/447066/Sunflower37/

There are a ton of Healthy Eating Books to check out here: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/471395/Sunflower37/

And if you’re like me or just want to cut meat out, you can check out this Best Substitutes for Meat book: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/461480/Sunflower37/

There’s also this Plant-based Cookbook to check out. I love that there are so many plant-based alternatives out there even when I’m in the mood for meat, some of these recipes just end up sounding better!

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/402833/Sunflower37/

There’s also this really cool Vegan cookbook with 300 recipes. Now I know that can seem overwhelming, but I like to think that gives me more opportunities to find what I like!

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/443631/Sunflower37/

As a mama, I completely understand that sometimes we want to have a quick and easy meal. Whether it’s that we forgot to plan out dinner, we were so busy with the Littles, we’ve had a rough day, or even that we’ve started back to work and just need something quick while we’re getting back into the routine of things, sometimes it’s just nice to be able to have that quick meal so that we can get it done and go back to momming/dadding. It’s even better when those meals are healthy, so here’s are some Quick (and delicious) healthy recipes to try:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/501785/Sunflower37/

If you’re more into drinking your meals, this one is for you. For the longest time, my favorite foods have been breakfast foods, but when I get up in the morning and eat, I tend to get sick. But whenever I’ve been pregnant, I know it’s not an option to skip the meal and do intermittent fasting. So I found an alternative: smoothies and shakes. This set of recipes can be used if you’d rather drink your meal, are doing a juicing cleanse, or if you just want to make yourself a snack/treat.

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/42495/Sunflower37/

We all know that with babies and kids, all of our immune systems get wonky. We seem to get sick easier, pass things around our families, and sometimes we need help understanding why that happens and ways we can help ourselves to not only get better but to help build up our immunities. This book covers different topics on what our bodies may be missing, how to help with that, and different ways to boost your immune system just with activities.

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/447648/Sunflower37/

Another idea to look into for bettering your health is the Happiness Hypothesis. I’ve always felt better about my body when my mental health is at its best. This is definitely something to look into if you’re interested in working on mental health:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/493041/Sunflower37/

Along my mental health journey, I’ve found breathing exercises to help, especially when it comes to anxiety and panic attacks. This Breatheology Essentials course could help:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/444164/Sunflower37/

If you’re more into the physical side and want to get yourself active, there’s this Get Up program that can not only get you moving, but they are there to help and support your physical and mental health through the process.

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/414122/Sunflower37/

If you’ve tried other workouts and can’t seem to find a body training that works for you, this Fit in 15 may be the one for you. They boast that they’ve been able to help many people who haven’t been able to get to their goals with other programs, so maybe this is more for you:

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/447323/Sunflower37/

Alright I think that’s it for me today. I hope you’ve enjoyed finding new ways to get healthy, whether you’re just in the mental stage or if you’re in the physical phase. As always, if you click through any of the links there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything, but if you do, I may earn a commission for it.

Have an amazing day!!

Prime Day Buys – Day 2!

Now I haven’t found a ton to buy today, mostly because I haven’t had a chance to look further due to not being home today, BUT I did see some great deals.

When we transitioned Shamrock to sippy cups, we tried a bunch, including the 360° cups and he just didn’t like them. The ones he ended up loving were the Nuk soft spouts, which happen to be part of todays sales. They come in 5 & 10oz sizes. These come in 2 packs with different designs both are under $11 when normally they’re $15-20. The Sip training cup (360°) is also marked under $11 for a 2 pack.

https://amzn.to/46MltTx

https://amzn.to/3XWvpGb

https://amzn.to/3NLGgy9

If your Little One loves music as much as mine does, this musical bath toy set is perfect. It has a drum, shakers, and a xylophone. Totally worth the $24 when it’s normally $30. It has an excellent rating with over 500 reviews , too.

https://amzn.to/3D8UOTs

So Shamrock has had some kind of rash on and off. We’ve tried just about everything and this is one of the products that I just so happened to have received a sample of and it definitely helped. It’s called Hyp03 and it’s Munchkin brand. It’s a clear spray made with 100% natural ingredients, and it doesn’t sting when sprayed onto the rash. You can use it as needed or with every diaper change. Now sadly there are less than 100 reviews for it, BUT it’s still rated 4.3 out of 5. They also make an eczema spray. Both are under $10.

https://amzn.to/3rj3Ev8

https://amzn.to/3JULTJh

So apologize for this being late, hopefully some of the deals will stick a little longer. If you choose to click on any of the links and buy, I may earn a commission.

Prime Day buys – Day 1

So I have to admit I haven’t shopped ALL day, but my husband and I have bought a handful of things. A new car seat for the baby, some snack pouches for the toddler… two ring doorbells and 2 echo shows. Seriously the deal on this Echo Show bundle is absolutely amazing/ridiculous and it comes in two colors.

https://amzn.to/3NPaEr9

The sippy cups weren’t on sale, but they were a really good deal and I need to start moving Shamrock into more hard spouts because he’s in the chewing stage and some of our no-spill spouts are no longer spill-free. Plus how cute are the patterns. I grabbed the cactus and astronaut dinosaurs.

https://amzn.to/3XLjjjc

Now if your Littles are a little older, Zak Design cups are marked down as well. A 2 pack of character cups are $12-17 depending on the character. There’s Bluey, Blippi, Disney, Cocomelon, Marvel, Paw Patrol, and My Little Pony designs. These travel cups have a built-in carry loop, a spout cover and they’re leak-proof (a parents best friend.)

https://amzn.to/3rrkqbK

The car seat was very needed. I wanted a rotating one that’s going to last Pumpkin well past what our current car seat will so we went with the Evenflo Revolve360. It’s rated really well (4.8 stars with over 2700 reviews.)

https://amzn.to/43BjgrD

Also, I mentioned that Shamrock is in the chewing stage. We’ll he tends to grab a hold of phone cords and well I needed a way to make sure he keeps them out of his mouth, so I found these safety covers from Gerry’s Mom in a three pack for under $10. When I was originally looking at them they were $12-13 (depending on color) so even though this wasn’t much of a deal, it was still worth it.

https://amzn.to/3XOl9zN

I’ve been quickly growing out of my clothes with this baby so I of course looked for maternity shirts and though I didn’t find many I liked, I did find one regular shirt that’s loose and comes in so many colors/patterns that will accommodate the bump. With Shamrock, I didn’t start really showing until I was like 27 weeks. I had a bump but this round I’m growing a lot quicker and the bump I had at 19-20wks is the same I had at 27wks the first time 😅.

https://amzn.to/3NQ46sm

If your little one (or you) loves the food pouches, GoGo SqueeZ and Plum Organics are both on the list of Prime Day Deals. I grabbed packages of both for Shamrock. They have all kinds of flavors and varieties. I personally have to be careful because I’m allergic to peaches and Shamrock is allergic to bananas, which both of those seem to be a staple in a lot of variety packs. Now both of these deals (and the brand deals) are only available with Subscribe and Save, but it’s totally worth the deal. The GoGo SqueeZ is 50% off and the Plum Organics are normally $20+.

https://amzn.to/43gDneo

https://amzn.to/3NO50Wz

Now if you choose to click on any of these links and buy something, I may earn a commission, so thank you. Have an amazing day and I’ll hopefully be back with more tomorrow!
